A local profile is created the first time a user logs into the system (as you previously learned). Local profiles work great if the same user uses the same computer all the time. But what happens when a user uses multiple computers? Or who works in one office today and another office tomorrow? Wouldn't it be great if that user could have their documents and settings copied from machine to machine? Well they can - and it's quite easy - just by setting up Roaming Profiles.

Highlights from this video:
  • What are roaming profiles? What are they used for?
  • Setting up security for profile folders
  • Understanding %USERNAME% for profile creation
  • What exactly happens on login/logout when you use roaming profiles?
and much more
